I wanted to photograph people looking at
a giant clock, through which the city and the sky can be seen. They entered the dark room,
stopped for a moment and left. I thought it was important. I saw that everyone took pictures only of the
clock itself, but I wanted to photograph
the whole situation from a
distance. I set up the 4x5 inch camera. At
first people were curious about
unusual camera, so they turned away from the clock and came up to me to look
at it. Later people kindly
stepped aside so that I could easily take a picture of the room without them. Only
after some time they returned to their
first positions and then I opened the shutter for 10 seconds.
